Research Process

This graduate research project, grounded in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), focused on evaluating usability constraints and cognitive load factors affecting navigation. While the project was conceptual in scope, it incorporated primary research through interviews and usability testing with real users to ensure findings were grounded in actual behavior rather than assumptions.

Due to limited access to quantitative analytics (e.g., page visits or behavioral metrics), the study adopted a qualitative, user-centered approach to understand how individuals navigated and interpreted the interface. The evaluation was conducted on the Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec (BAnQ) website, a content-rich platform with complex information structures.
